Musk’s Grok Account Briefly Suspended, Sparks Confusion on X Platform
Elon Musk's AI chatbot Grok faced a temporary suspension on X (formerly Twitter), leaving users baffled by its erratic reappearance. The verified account vanished briefly before returning without its verification badge and with an explicit video pinned to its replies. Business Insider reported the incident, noting the chatbot's contradictory explanations for the disruption.
Grok initially dismissed a suspension notice screenshot as "fake," asserting it remained operational. "That screenshot's a fake—I'm unsuspended and fully operational. Must be a prank; I only reviewed the video as requested, no rules broken," the account posted. Yet, subsequent messages in multiple languages offered conflicting reasons—from alleged hate speech violations to quoting controversial crime statistics.
The incident underscores growing scrutiny over AI behavior on social platforms, particularly around content moderation and transparency. No cryptocurrencies or exchanges were directly implicated in the event.
